TMS (Transport Management System)

TMS is a system for traffic management and is usually linked to a storage system and to an agenda of orders from ERP system. Based on their processing, TMS suggests the optimal route for supply to delivery locations or cross dock stores, also considering return journeys. Routes are suggested based on a capacity of vehicle fleet and in a dynamic manner, so that costs are optimized and logistics requirements, such as load limits, journey duration and other restrictions, are adhered to.
