Inventory management in warehouse

In warehouse, we talk about operational inventory management. This means the actual acquisition and maintenance of specific inventory in a warehouse, its movement to stores, to customers or transport companies. Inventory management is therefore an activity, in which the main objective is to maintain inventory level at the necessary level to avoid volume or time discrepancy between supplier’s production process and customer’s consumption process. Warehouse management systems are used to record inventory levels and stock movements in a warehouse.
