IDOC (Intermediate document)

IDOC (Intermediate document) is a native format of SAP information system that can be used for exporting and importing business and logistics documents. This format can be automatically converted to other EDI formats that use the semantics of structured data according to a global EDI standard like UN/EDIFACT, XML EDI or other XML formats. It is, therefore, one of the entry gates of documents from SAP ERP system into the electronic data interchange (EDI) towards the trading partners.
