Accounting inventory is the value of material in stock according to accounting, it has a quantitative and financial value. It differs from logistics (on-hand) inventory, which refers to what is physically present in the warehouse and available for issue. Differences may arise due to stock reservations or for various procedural reasons (the goods did not pass the input inspection, the goods are damaged, ...).
