The company used the original paper form of invoicing until the middle of 2010. The overall process of issuing and sending paper invoices meant for the company 4 hours of unproductive administration per day for 20 days in each month.
Invoicing was not only laborious but also expensive. Schneider Electric estimated the total average cost of issuing and sending one paper invoice at CZK 27. The archiving of paper invoices in an archiving room with an area of 20 square meters was also a problem. Physical retrieval of the required invoice in the archive often took considerable effort and time.
The original situation led Scheider Electric to introduce electronic invoicing, for which it chose GRiT as its supplier, which has long provided reliable EDI communication services to Schneider Electric. Extending electronic invoicing to customers who do not use EDI was another logical step.
The ORiON solution enables the sending of invoices in electronic form and ensures the direct exchange of electronic invoices with the company's economic system.
GRiT's electronic invoicing as a service (SaaS) solution has brought Schneider Electric significant savings and streamlining administration in a short period of time.
Within 2 months, 95% of customers managed to participate in electronic invoicing. Every month, Schneider Electric sends them more than 4,000 electronic invoices.
