When Bonus Bona did not use a warehousing system, the warehouse workers mistakenly confused goods about 4 times a week when picking orders and sent something different to the customer than what they had ordered.
In addition, similar errors not only affect a specific order, but also affect others. "We did not have an overview of inventory and, for example, we told a customer that we had the toothbrush in stock. Only then did we find out that it was not actually in stock," commented the situation before WMS Petr Matoušek, CEO. The current system of work was unsustainable with the growth of the company.
The company paid dearly for this chaos, the extra costs went up to tens of thousands a month. "Most toothbrushes look the same, they have similar packaging, so warehouse workers often got confused when dispatching. Sometimes we sent the customer a thousand crowns more expensive brush than the one they ordered. Such a person does not have to call at all, so you just count the losses," admits Matoušek.
The company wanted software that would ensure simple and trouble-free receipt, warehousing and issue of goods. So that there is as little work as possible, as little paperwork as possible, and so that the warehouse workers can handle it. They spent several weeks choosing the system in Bonus Bona. It offers the most functions, in addition, it allows you to perform inventory on the fly, which is an important thing for us," explains the selection of warehouse system Matoušek.
Result? 6x faster shipping and end of goods confusions. What happened after the deployment of LOKiA, they probably didn't expect in Bonus Bona even in the most optimistic scenario. Dispatch has accelerated, stocktakings have become more precise, and confusions of goods have been completely eliminated.
"I can easily substitute for a fellow warehouseman when they are on vacation and process all orders in a moment. Working with LOKiA is so simple that even my 16-year-old son could handle it," says Matoušek.
LOKiA also brought order to the Bonus Bona warehouse. Whereas in the past the difference between the paper and the actual state of the warehouse in the inventory was several tens of thousands of crowns, today they are in the order of hundreds of crowns.
